Center for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (CEED) presented the sixth edition of publication "International Property Rights Index 2012" (IPRI). It is the most extensive comparative research in the field of property rights in the world in whose realization 69 organizations participated, led by the Alliance for the strengthening of property rights - Washington, USA.
The index ranks 130 countries that include 97% of world GDP. Montenegro is first time this year included in the ranking and takes 71st position. Regarding countries in the region, Montenegro is better ranked than Macedonia (87), Albania (100), Serbia (109) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (113), while Slovenia (52) and Croatia (64) take better positions.
The idea that lies behind IPRI is to encourage countries to make progress in the field of property rights, in order to promote economic development.
