Montenegrin Investment Promotion Agency has hosted at its premises a potential investor from Jordan, Mr. Muhanad Abdulmujeeb, a director of Al-Rawafid company based in Amman. He was interested in a lot of potential businesses in Montenegro, but especially emphasized agricultural sector and steel production, taking into consideration that he has already owned steel production factories in Turkey and Romania and is willing to transfer his business in Montenegro. He also wanted to know information on availability of fertile agricultural land for renting, size of 200 to 300 ha, which he would use for organic production and food processing.
MIPA has presented him overall investment climate in Montenegro, taxes, investment incentives, ongoing and investment projects yet to be implemented, etc. According to his inquiry, MIPA introduced Mr. Abdulmujeeb with available tender which will be published soon in Ulcinj, on agricultural land lease. Wanting for potential investor to have an insight into land condition, MIPA, in cooperation with Municipality of Ulcinj, has organised visit to the municipality. Additionally, MIPA described to Mr. Abdulmujeeb potential advantages he would have if he decide to transfer his steel production business in business zones of Montenegrin municipalities which have identified that zones within its territory.
